Time of Incident: 1950hrs

A two vehicle crash on this date, at 7:50 PM, in Heidelberg Twp., York County, resulted  in one person being killed. 

Killed in the crash was Jared Stuart Lucabaugh, 22 YOA, Abbottstown Pike, Hanover, Adams County.  Lucabaugh was the driver and lone passenger in a Honda.  He was traveling westbound in the 6300 blk. of Old Hanover Rd. in Spring Grove, Heidelberg Twp.  The location of the crash is just east of Iron Ridge Rd. 

Lucabaugh apparently lost control of his vehicle and was sideways in the opposite lane of travel (eastbound lane) when it was struck by another Honda vehicle driven by Alissa Wetzel, 16 YOA, Spring Grove.  Two other family members were in the Wetzel vehicle.  Medical personnel transported all three occupants to York Hospital.  None of those injuries were serious at the scene. 

The investigation of the crash is continuing.  York County Coroner’s Office personnel were on the scene.  Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact Sgt. Jack Greene, Southwestern Regional Police at 717-225-1333, ext. 103.
