Time of Incident: 1800hrs

On 4 September 2007 at 6:00PM, a 17 year old juvenile was arrested after threatening his foster caregiver with a 9mm, loaded handgun.

Southwestern Regional Police responded to a home on View Dr., Spring Grove, North Codorus Twp., after the juvenile who resides in the home made some threatening statements to his foster caregiver and his caseworker.  After making the statements and in an apparent show of his sincerity, he went to his room and reentered the room with the loaded handgun, again making threatening statements.   

The caregiver and a caseworker of the defendant then called 911 and advised that the juvenile had a gun and needed police.  Officers arrived and the juvenile was taken into custody and transported to York County prison where he will be charged as an adult.  The defendant advised that he purchased the handgun “on the street” in Harrisburg, PA. 

The defendant was charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault, and one count of possession of a firearm by a minor.
