Accidental Death

While at his residence, the victim advised his wife at 5:00 pm on 07-19-09 that he was going to perform repairs to his 2002 Chev. pick-up truck.  At 7:00 pm. the victim was discovered deceased near his truck in the driveway after having sustained trauma to his upper torso. 

The investigation by the York County Coroner’s Office and this department revealed that the victim was performing repairs to his vehicle while the vehicle was parked on an incline.  The vehicle began to roll backwards.   When the victim attempted to control the vehicle, he stumbled into the path of the vehicle and the vehicle rolled over the victim.  It is believed that he was killed instantly. 

The death has been ruled accidental by the Coroner’s Office. Lineboro MD. Fire/Rescue was first on the scene.
