The Southwestern Regional Police Department is
pleased to announce the hiring of a new officer for the department.
The hiring filled a vacated position from
last year and brings the department up to our allotment of 13 full-time
officers.
The recent hire is Brandon E. Nolan, who
began service in July of this year.
He is currently assigned to the Field
Training Program for 13 weeks where he rides with one of the
department’s Field Training Officers.
Officer Nolan is 23 years of age and relocated to
York County with his wife from Johnstown, PA.
His wife is employed as a school teacher at
a local school district.
Officer Nolan grew up in Johnstown and is a
graduate of the Penn Highlands Community College and the Johnstown
Regional Police Academy.
Officer Nolan was selected by our department after
he completed testing through the York County Police Hiring Consortium
which the department is a member.
He successfully completed our rigorous
pre-employment testing to include a thorough background investigation,
physical testing, psychological testing, polygraph exam, and oral and
written testing.
