Time of Incident: Bank Robbery
The first suspect jumped over the counter of the bank and retrieved proceeds from the bank. He is described as a B/M, 5-08, med. build, wearing a dark colored “puffy” winter jacket with a fur-like material around the front of the hood, a dark colored baseball cap. The second suspect stood-by within the bank. He is described as a W/M, 5-08, med. build, wearing a black stocking mask, and a multicolored baseball cap.
Four employees were at the bank at the time of the robbery. No customers were present. No one was injured.
The two suspects left by the front doors of the bank. The bank is located just off the new roundabout in Spring Grove Borough. We are in need of any witness who would have observed the two suspects hurriedly leave the bank, or, hurriedly leave the bank and enter a vehicle and then leave the area at or about 9:55 AM, Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007.

Gilbert, DOB10-16-78, Lawsons Court, York, PA
Arrestee 2 – B/M, Anthony
Donnell Johnson, DOB 12-01-67, 300 blk. West North St., York, PA
Today, 11-30-07, a York City Police Detective received a tip about a possible suspect in this bank robbery. Arrestee #1 was taken into custody at 1100 am on drug charges. He was found to have monetary proceeds from the bank robbery. He subsequently admitted his involvement of the bank robbery to Southwestern Regional Officers, Sgt. Lisa Layden and Ofr. Stu Harrison.
Arrestee #1 implicates Arrestee #2. Johnson is then located at a grocery store in York City and is taken into custody. A search warrant is served at his home at approx. 6:00 PM by Southwestern Regional officers and implements of the bank robbery are located within. A vehicle is also towed from Johnson’s home as it was purchased with some of the proceeds from the bank. A large amount of currency is located on both defendants.
Both defendants were booked into York County Central booking earlier this evening. Both were charged similarly as follows:
1) Robbery; F1
2) Theft by Unlawful
Taking; M1
There are no other persons that are involved in this incident or will be charged at this time. Special thanks to the York City Poliuce Department and the York County District Attorneys Office – County Detectives, for their assistance in this case.
