Recently, the victim Barry Krout, 67YOA, brought
information to our agency that his wife, the
defendant, had taken out two loans without his
knowledge. The defendant received over $65,000
without his consent.
The investigation revealed that the defendant had
signed the victim’s name on both loans.
The first fraudulent loan was in 2005 and
that crime is too distant to be prosecuted (statute
of limitations).
The second fraudulent loan is what manifested
the charges in this case.
The defendant has turned herself in and was
arraigned in MDJ Reilly’s Office after the charges
were filed on 01-23-12.
