Auto Crash/Stolen Vehicle - North Codorus Township
May 4 2010
Officers
responded to a single vehicle crash at 1:45 pm on today’s date
to the intersection of Tunnel Hill Rd. and Messersmith Rd.,
North Codorus Twp. A passing motorist observed the crash after
the fact and contacted York County 911. Three occupants of the

Homicide - Manheim Township
March 31 2010
At approx 3pm on 03-31-10,
officers responded to a 911 hang-up call at the residence at
3414 Trone Rd., Glenville, PA, Manheim Twp. The resident
there, Monica Schmeyer, DOB 12-18-54, was found with trauma
to her head region. She was deceased. Mrs. Schmeyer was
apparently the sole resident of the home.

Officers of the
Southwestern regional Police Department were dispatched at
approximately 3:45 p.m. today to the Spring Grove Post
Office, 55 West Jackson Street in Spring Grove, for a

Accident/Traffic Hazard - North Codorus Township
March 10, 2010
On March 10,
2010 at approximately 2:07pm, the York Co. 911 Center began
receiving calls about a tractor trailer loosing its load
while traveling east bound on Rt. 116, in North Codorus Twp.
Southwestern Regional officers responded and intercepted the
vehicle near the Rt. 516 intersection.

Fatal Vehicle Accident - North Codorus Township
August 4,2009
On 08-04-09 at 8:50 PM, a three
vehicle crash occurred on SR 616,
North Codorus Twp., one mile north
of the Borough of New Salem and one mile south of Rt. 30.
One of the passengers in one of the vehicles died at the scene
as the result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Pedestrian struck by Vehicle - Spring Grove Borough
July 21,2009
On 7/21/09 at 1533 hours Southwestern
Regional Police were dispatched to the 300 block of North Main
St. in Spring Grove Borough for a child struck by a vehicle.
Investigation determined Preston Greenplate of York was
traveling east on North Main St. when a six year old male
entered his lane of travel.

Accidental Death - Manheim Township
May 31,2009
Victim: Jack
Vigrass, 74 YOA., 5600 blk. Wool Mill Rd., Glenville, PA -
Manheim Twp.While at his
residence, the victim advised his wife at 5:00 pm on
07-19-09 that he was going to perform repairs to his 2002
Chev. pick-up truck. At 7:00 pm. the victim was discovered
deceased near his truck in the driveway after having

Criminal Mischief/School Buses - Spring Grove Borough

Charges have been filed with MDJ Shoemaker’s
Office for Criminal Mischief stemming from a
previous incident where air was removed from the
tires of 44 school buses. The buses are owned
by Durham School Services and provide
transportation to all of the Spring Grove School

Suspicious Fire/Arson - Heidelberg Township
May 27, 2009
A
structure fire at a residence has been listed as
“arson” by PA State Police Trooper Patrick McKenna,
Deputy Fire Marshall. The
fire, located at 1075 Porters Rd., Spring Grove,
Heidelberg Twp., was called in to York County
Control at approx. 1130 am, 05-27-2009. The
homeowner, Cleatus Wentz, 68 YOA, of the same
address, arrived at his home and discovered the fire
and contacted York County 911. No one was at home
when the resident arrived at his home. The fire
began within the home and was intentionally set. ......

Suspicious Fire - North Codorus Township
May 21, 2009
A residential structure was damaged
by fire at approximately 5:19 a.m., May 21, 2009.The fire appears to have started on a rear
deck. Seven Valleys and North Codorus Fire Departments responded
and extinguished the blaze. The fire was kept to the deck area
and extinguished prior to reaching the actual structure. No one
is currently residing in the home. The cause of the fire is

Road Rage - North Codorus Township
April 10, 2009
On 04-10-09, Officers
were advised via the York Co. 911 Center that two vehicles were
traveling in a reckless manner northbound on Rt. 516 (Jefferson
Rd.) between Jefferson and Spring Grove. A dispute had
ensued between the two drivers as a result of perceived poor
driving by both. The adult male victim of the
incident pulled over along the road to let the offender pass.
The defendant then pulled his vehicle alongside and pointed a

18 year-old male victim and friends were in front of a
business in the 400 blk. of Eisenhower Dr., Hanover. The
defendant approached the males and asked if they wanted to
go to a party in Spring Grove. The victim and his friends
consented and followed the suspect in their vehicles, ending
up in a parking lot in the 100 blk. of East College Ave.,
